.

"action and reaction are equal and opposite.

there is a concept called information overload.. in any electronics networks (like mobile, internet etc) there is finite amount of information that can be transferred across two points defined by bandwidth. When you try to send more it clogs the network and it breaks. Indian school system is following the same concept. We are trying to feed lot more than they can take up.. I have been to a day care here, and kids up to age 4-5 are there, and they don’t have any "prescribed" subjects to read, all day they play, read etc. The plays are designed to encourage their thinking, motivate. HomeSchooling is a practical concept here in America. And statistically US has been credited to more innovations than any others. Here kids till 4-5th standard go to school only few days a week, and usually kids in general get around 4-6 months of holidays, and they usually attend summer camps or work in hotels, shops etc. during that time. You can read more here Education in the United States
I think we need to re-evaluate what needs to taught at what age , and reduce burden on children’s mind, then probably they might be able to be more "intelligent" in general rather than just "intelligent" in school exams.

I agree. We need to re-evaluate what to be taught at what age.But in India education system is designed to produce clerks-who simply do what is told-no more no less.We are supplying information to students rather than training them to gather information and learn to apply them practically. Thanks for the comment and links.
